What is UCCC?
UCCC is a nonprofit, United Way agency committed to providing innovative, quality education and a nurturing environment to a racially, culturally, socio-economically, and developmentally diverse population of children between 6 weeks and 6 years while providing supportive services to families.
We have been called a day care, a preschool, an early childhood education center and many other things. We nurture and care for children as individuals to develop in them compassion, resiliency, and a love of life and learning for the rest of their lives.

What is the tuition and how can I pay my tuition?
Full weekly tuition rates are below. We offer scholarship assistance and consider every request individually.
- Infant/Toddler: $353.00
- Two Year Olds: $300.00
- Three to Five Year Olds: $253.00
We accept cash, checks and credit cards for payment. Tuition is due either weekly on Mondays or the first Monday of each month.
Does UCCC offer a second child discount?
UCCC does not offer a second child discount. Scholarships are available to assist families so that quality care is affordable for all children.
Does the family have to pay when a child is sick?
Yes. Because we must staff our classrooms for full enrollment, we are unable to offer a credit when a child is absent.
What do you do when a family takes vacation or is away on extended leave?
The family is still responsible for tuition payments even though the child is not at UCCC. Our teachers support the child and family through the change in routine that results from a vacation or leave.
What is UCCC’s inclement weather policy and how is it handled?
In the case of inclement weather, UCCC will post the school closure on all major broadcast and radio stations. The families will receive an automatic phone message announcing UCCC’s school closure.
How do I enroll my child?
The first step is to join us for a tour of UCCC, offered without an appointment every Monday @ 4:00 pm and Friday @ 10:00 am. If you are not able to attend either of these times, we are happy to set up an individual tour.
At the end of the tour you will receive an enrollment application. With a few exceptions, there is a $35 application fee per family. Availability in our classrooms determines when you will be able to enroll. When you receive notification of your child’s enrollment date, we will schedule a visit date and time for you and your child.
When can my child start?
We hope to have you start at a date convenient to your needs. However, setting an exact start date depends on many factors. Please be sure to talk with our Center Director, Dottie Bini, about the current enrollment status to determine when your child would be able to start.
